one other thing

at this wedding reception, the groom's cake was in the shape of a gorilla. it was huge, like two and a half feet by two feet. the gorilla had a little (one inch by one inch) icing heart on its chest. kinda cute i guess.

the cake was sliced and served by the waitstaff to us as we sat in the dining hall. i was busy looking around for the waiter who was pouring coffee when i glanced down and noticed that my piece of chocolate gorilla cake had the heart on it.

as silly as it was, i couldn't help but feel that i was special for it.

the return, and a theory

funny. i think it's been several weeks, but today, unmistakably, that little achy feeling in my heart is back, the one that often tugs tears out of my eyes.

i don't know why. i don't really think anything's all that different today. i did attend a wedding yesterday, but i'm (happily) indifferent regarding that. as a matter of fact, i have the day off, and the weather is spring-like, things that normally make me exultantly happy.

my theory is that it is because i have resumed taking that medicine for my acne, the medicine that is comprised primarily of hormones.

estrogen makes you crazy.
