random, again

replenishing my printer's supply, i used up my ream. i removed the paper wrapper from the box it sat in and underneath found a piece of paper covered in my handwriting. it's six or seven years old. it's in pencil, in cursive, and it's gorgeous.

and it's completely random. it begins:

1. negative selection— a perfect self MHC–self-peptide match must die


2. positive selection— a (not so perfect) self MHC–foreign peptide match will peripheralize


3. remember that MHC alleles are co-dominant
